Course info
This course is aimed at people who are working as domestic plumbers and would like to gain the skills to install central heating systems. It covers customer requirements, site survey, system design including heat loss calculations, installation of a condensing boiler (no gas) , fault finding, power flushing, jig commissioning, CHESS best practice and many other related topics. After this course you will be able to offer full installation of a condensing boiler and central heating, providing you works with a CORGI registered plumber to run the gas, checks the system and commission the boiler. As you are a self-employed plumber will be able to do the majority of the work. Generally using a CORGI engineer for 1 day. The course is taught by our resident CORGI registered engineer Paul Coggon who has over 35 years of experience in the heating industry as a gas engineer. There is a maximum of 12 students on the course and an additional trainer will join you for the practical sessions. After successfully completing the course, you will receive a PPL certificate covering all the topics of the course.
