The topics covered are: introduction to health and safety legislation, the need for safety management systems, handbook and management of safe systems of work, on the mod estate structure of role and responsibilities of authorising persons, practical and procedural aspects of safe working practices, the selection, evaluation, and appointment of authorised persons, interview techniques and training requirements.
